A Bachelor Degree in the US is generally a four-year programme. Students can decide to study at a public or private university. To make tuition costs more affordable students can study an Associate Degree at a Community College for two years and then transfer to a university for the final two years where they complete their Bachelor Degree.

Depending on the duration of the programme, it is possible to obtain a Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma which can generally be completed in 4 months, or a Masters degree which is usually a 2 year programme. All 3 qualifications are official postgraduate degrees and recognized internationally.

USA is by far one of the favourite destinations among Spanish students wishing to learn English outside of Europe. Americans are renowned for their openness and friendliness towards foreigners making it easy for non-English speakers to feel welcome and at home.

American high schools will accept students for 1 semester or for 1 academic year. They will live with a host family enabling them to be fully integrated into the local community. The families are chosen very carefully in order to make the experience a positive one where the children feel at home.

Internships are available for students wishing to use English in the working world. High-intermediate to advanced level students will attend Business English classes of 20 hours a week whilst they benefit from first-hand experience in a variety of fields such as marketing, public relations and IT.

Work placements usually last from 6 to 16 weeks. However, it is important to bear in the mind that the duration of the internship varies according to the students' level of English and the specific work placement requirements.
