I chose GV Sydney (UEC) because a friend recommended the college to me and it turned out to be a very good choice, because I’m really happy with the school! I started in the General English Upper Elementary class 8 months ago and I finished my course in Upper Intermediate. The teachers at the College are excellent as they really look after the students. They make learning fun and easy by finding new ways to make the classes interesting. I have also made friends with students from all over the world. The facilities at GV Sydney (UEC) are excellent, especially the computer rooms, library and common areas. Sydney is a vibrant city, yet still has plenty of natural beauty, with great beaches, parks and gardens. The relaxed environment means that you can study and have fun at the same time. I want to live in this wonderful city!

Since I arrived in Australia I can’t stop thinking to myself why I never came here sooner. I arrived a few weeks ago in the Gold Coast and it has been the most incredible experience. I’ve met very interesting people and I’ve already made good friends. The people here are really lovely and understanding because initially it was hard for talking in English and they were very patient with me and they never treated me differently or looked down on me for not having a very good level of English. Now I can say that I’m improving my English in leaps and bounds! I’ve really learnt a lot already in the short time that I’ve been here.
As for the beaches, there are no words to explain, but just so you have an idea: white sand without a single stone and crystal clear water. In the time that I’ve been here I’ve already been surfing a lot and every day there have been great waves meaning perfect surfing conditions. As for the weather, it’s only rained one day since I’ve been here and the rest of the time it has been sunny and the truth is I am very brown, haha, but you have to remember to wear sun cream here because the sun’s rays are incredibly strong.
Sport here is commonplace and everyone does it, whoever doesn’t surf rollerblades, or plays tennis, rugby, football....the variety of sport that you’ll discover here is a real positive experience and also in my opinion an enjoyable hobby.
Without doubt I can say that this is and will continue to be the most awesome journey of my life, where I am learning to support myself and become independent, whilst maturing and perfecting a new language. Finally I’d like to advise all of you out there who are thinking of coming here or nearby to not doubt it for a minute because you’re going to enjoy yourself like never before, trust me!
